Avodart (Dutasteridwee)

You can use Avodart (Dutasteride 0.5mg) in place of Propcia. Avodart produced by GlaxoSmithKline. It is not FDA approved yet for treating hair loss but approved for the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH, or enlarged prostates). Advodart works similar to Propecia by reducing DHT, but many believe it's even better than Propecia because Avodart blocks both enzymes which convert into DHT while Propecia just blocks one enzyme. Avodart is for men only. It comes in a 0.5mg softgel capsule that is taken once per day. However, the recommended dosis for treating hair loss is 0.25 mg. Since Avodart is still being studied for hair loss, there are no exact figures.
